The 'story' is all over the place, with way too many superfluous side plots like the needless mom and daughter/s angst, ex-bf angst, killing ethics angst, gambling debt angst. etc etc adding nothing but run time to the film.
I mean, why on Earth does Farrell just show up looking to kill 'Ava' then ludicrously walk away after a bloodsoaked stalemate and then end up getting shot by our anti-heroine walking away down the street lol.
Mind you, you have to admire co-producer Chastain's optimism. Ava even sets itself up for a sequel, that surely won't happen after this stunning waste of the casts talent and our time.
